A very early and important book on street railways when the construction of such was in its infancy in the US. 148 pages including 24 engravings of horse drawn rail cars, street rail cross sections, accessories and track laying details, and nine pages of ads in the rear. Bound in original brown cloth with lettering stamped in gilt and border and design stamped in blind. Light foxing throughout. Light staining between first few pages, text not affected. Spine professionally replaced with old cloth laid on. Hinges professionally repaired. A very good copy.
