Presents a general description of the locomotives exhibited by Baldwin at the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition at New Orleans from December, 1884 to June, 1885. Illustrated with diagrams of locomotives of various railroads plus data for each. Locomotives featured are for the Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West Railway, Morgan's Louisiana and Texas Railroad and Steamship Company, Central Railroad and Banking Company of Georgia, and the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway. Other useful data on various types of locomotives included. The frontis, with tissue guard, is an impressive full page engraving of the company's facilities in Philadelphia. 41 pages plus advertisement page in the rear. Bound in original olive green cloth covered card stock with lettering stamped in gilt and design stamped in black. Light mottling to several areas of front and rear covers. A handsome very good + copy.
