Illustrated with builder's photographs of locomotives of various railroads plus data for each. Locomotives featured are for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, Central Railroad Company of New Jersey, Norfolk and Western Railroad, Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern Railway, Mexican National Railroad, and the New York, Lake Erie, and Western Railroad. Other builder's photographs and useful data on various types of locomotives included. The frontis is an impressive full page photograph of the company's erecting shop. 78 pages plus advertisement page in the rear. Bound in original red cloth with lettering stamped in gilt and rule stamped in blind. Several small light mottlings to the rear cover. Light fray to head of spine. A near fine, bright, quite exceptional, copy.
