In eastern Colorado clay shale and claystone of refractory grade occur in beds of the Dakota group and its equivalents, in the Laramie formation and in the Dawson arkose. The Dakota groups is by far the most important commercial source. 154 pages with sections, measured section tables, and index, plus the required two folded maps, all fine, in the rear pocket. Bound in original gray paper covers with printing in black. Short tears along the rear cover and spine. A very good copy.
