The purpose of the project was to evaluate the geologic utility of state-of-the-art remote sensing techniques. NASA's overall goal was to obtain greater insight into the capabilities and limitations of remote sensing technology for geolgical mapping. Industry's [Geosat] goal was to obtain greater insight into the potential usefulness of remote sensing technology for resource evaluation. Volumes I & II feature many statalite color photographic plates, maps, tables, figures, charts and references. Part 3, card slipcase with all thirteen folded plates and wavelength sheet present. Books bound in dark blue cloth with lettering in gilt. All are housed within the near fine original slipcase with tiny split to one corner.
