Number 4 in the Ohio Railroad Heritage series. Ford did many things to and with the DT&I, some beneficial, some naive. His greatest success was to insure the long term financial future of the railroad through his negotiation of favorable rates with connecting railroads and the establishment of a large portion of his Ford Motor Company traffic on the railroad. His other major contributions were the construction of the Detroit and Ironton Railroad from Flat Rock to the Rouge Complex, the construction of the Malinta Cut-Off and his short lived railroad electrification program. 152 pages with photographs, maps, diagrams, bibliography and index. Fine in fine and bright dust jacket.
