Phiz was the pen name for Hablot Knight Browne (10 July 1815 - 8 July 1882), an English artist and illustrator. Well-known, Phiz illustrated books by Charles Dickens, Charles Lever, and Harrison Ainsworth. Bound in contemporary half dark brown leather over marbled boards with printed leather title label pressed onto the spine. Interior hinges and head of spine professionally repaired. A few tiny spots of foxing to the endpapers. An about very good copy.
