Signed by Wm. L. Austin and dated Jan. 1, 1887 on the preliminary page. Austin entered the firm Baldwin Locomitive Works in 1870 and in 1885 became a partner in the firm of Burnham, Parry, Williams & Co., and later Chairman of the Board of Baldwin. Presents and illustrates a system of Standard Locomotives, designs suited to all the requirements of ordinary service. Burnham, Parry, Williams & Co. manufactured a considerable number of locomotives and parts for their subsidiary company, Baldwin Locomotive Works, many of which are described and illustrated in this catalogue. 101 pages with full page diagrams and photographs with data page proceding or following. Bound in original brown cloth with ornate lettering and rule stamped in gilt, design and rule stamped in black, and design and rule on rear cover stamped in blind. Front hinge starting. Rear endpaper creased. A near fine copy, seldom found in this superior condition.
