Signed by Ehernberger on the title page. This is a reprint of the 1885 edition of the guide book for renumbering of equipment. Photographs and captions have been added for this reprint edition. Until the Union Pacific renumbering plan went into effect during 1885, each subsidiary line had their own set of numbers assigned to various pieces of rolling stock. While looking at the locomotive lists, you will note in the sixteen subsidiaries of the system, there were ten locomotives numbered one. 56 pages with photographs and rosters. A near fine, bright copy.
