THE GREAT WESTERN MAGAZINE AND ANGLO-AMERICAN JOURNAL OF LITERATURE, SCIENCE, ART, COMMERCIAL & POLITICAL ECONOMY, STATISTICS, ETC
London: Simpkin, Marshall, and Co., 1842. First edition. Printed wrappers. Item #36180
The entire issue written by "An American," probably the editor himself, reasoning why the English should invest in America. 122 pages, many unopened, with financial lists and tables. The large folded very early US railroad map is present, showing the eastern and midwestern states with the few existing railroads in red and the proposed railroads in orange. Green wrappers chipped and worn. Map very good plus, probably rarely opened. Text very good plus. A very scarce early railroad item.
