The author was surgeon ot the 77th Regiment New York Volunteers. 436 pages with 17 full-page engravings including frontis of General Sedgwick, illustrated title page, all with tissue guard, and map. Bound in original green cloth with beveled edges, lettering and emblem stamped in gilt, and border stamped in blind. Small cancelled bookseller stamp on front paste-down endpaper. Mild foxing to endpapers, frontis and prelims. All other pages unaffected. Light wear to cloth at the head of the spine. Front just starting. A very good copy seldom found in the original cloth.
