498 pages plus nine full-page steel engravings including the frontis and portrait of Hume. Bound in contemporary full leather with border and lettering stamped in gilt. Marbled endpapers. As only the engravings have mild staining to two of the page edges, not affecting the illustrations, the assumption is the staining occurred before they were bound into the book. The text is not stained. A good copy.
