Carl Fredrik Fallén was a Swedish botanist and entomologist. He taught at the Lund University and described many species of Diptera and Hymenoptera. Elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1810. Published in Latin. Only four listed in OCLC. 121 pages. Bound in black quarter cloth over marbled paper covered boards. From the library of Robert L. Usinger with his bookplate fixed to the front paste-down endpaper. Usinger (1912-1968) served on the faculty in the Department of Entomology at the University of California at Berkeley from 1946 until his untimely death in 1968. Margin notes throughout. Occasional spots of foxing. Front interior hinge professionally repaired. Spine rebacked. Corners worn. Previous owner's signature on the front free endpaper. A very good copy.
